Minor in Geology
A minor in geology consists of 21 hours, of which at least 12 must be at the 300 level or above. A minor in geology, emphasizing courses in environmental geology and hydrogeology, is particularly appropriate for students majoring in environmental science. The minor in geology is most appropriate for students who wish to have a background in geology to support another major.
Minor in Physics
The minor in physics requires 21 semester hours of physics and astronomy. Students who minor in physics must complete one of the following sequences in physics: "PHY 211: General Physics I with Laboratory" and "PHY 213: General Physics II with Laboratory"; OR "PHY 220: University Physics I with Laboratory," "PHY 222: University Physics II with Laboratory," and "PHY 224: University Physics III with Laboratory." Credit in PHY 110 cannot be applied to the minor. A minimum of 3 semester hours of physics or astronomy courses numbered above 300 must be included.
